Kay Booker

     Kay Booker was introduced to the CWL by Fr. Edward Murphy at St. Patrick’s Parish, Markham, when he approached her about reactivating the CWL council, serving as President of St. Patrick’s from 2010-2012. Kay has been President of Blessed Trinity Council, North York, since 2015 and previously was North York Regional Chair from 2013-2015.
Kay received her Maple Leaf Service Pin in 2019 and assisted in TDC Conventions (ushering, decorations and registration). She is a facilitator for the Parish Executive Training (PET), organized the Laps for Literacy for Schools and received the Laps for Literacy Certificate by the York Catholic School Board in 2011.
She chaired Blessed Trinity Council’s 50th Anniversary in 2018, was their newsletter editor and also started the Brebeuf College Apprenticeship. She organized seminars on Human Trafficking and mental health and served as a member and director of the Rosary Apostolate. Kay is a Lector and coordinator for Blessed Trinity Parish Visiting Ministry and a member of Ministers of Care Advisory Committee - Archdiocese of Toronto.
Kay introduced the weekly Zoom Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the monthly online newsletter during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kay’s mission is to bring our faith community together for the common good of her parish, while recognizing the uniqueness of everyone. Kay is supported by her husband Patrick of 57 years, daughter Michelle, five granddaughters, family, friends and sisters in the League. Kay holds her late son Patrick Jr., now nine years deceased, in prayer. Kay is happy to complete the remainder of the 2019-2022 executive term as North York Regional Chair.
