Debbie Bates - Education and Health

     Debbie joined the CWL in 1993 at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Newmarket, North York Region where she served as Secretary, President Elect, President and Historian. After moving to Mississauga in 1998, Debbie transferred her membership to St. Martin of Tours Parish and served as Resolutions Standing Committee Chair.
     At the regional level, Debbie has served as Communications Standing Committee Chair and then Peel Regional Chair (2003 - 2005) and then Historian. At the Toronto Diocesan level her involvement has included Treasurer from 2007-2009; Communications Standing Committee Chair from 2009-2011, Resolution Standing Committee Chair from 2011 - 2013 and currently is serving as the Education and Health Standing Committee Chair.
     Debbie has been an a facilitator for a number of CWL programmes including Project Grow; the annual Public Speaking/Leadership Course and the Parish Executive Training Course. She has co-chaired the Toronto Archdiocesan Convention in 2003, 2006 and 2007, 2015 and 2015; was the Registration Convener for both the 2004 Toronto Diocesan Convention and the 2005 Ontario Provincial Convention; was on the organizing committee for the 2005 and 2009 Ontario Provincial Conventions and 2011 National Convention.
     Debbie has been happily married to Warren for over 30 years and while they have no children they have 10 nieces and nephews as well as one great niece and one great nephew. Debbie has worked in the banking industry for over 40 years.
