Ann D'Souza - Past President/Historian

     Ann moved to Canada having lived in Goa, Mumbai (Bombay) and Dubai. She is married to Oswald and has 2 adorable sons, Anson and Anderson, and daughter-in-laws Sarah and Nicole.
     As a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Mississauga, she joined CWL Council three months since its formation in the Parish. Joining the league was made possible by her family’s love and understanding and her oldest son’s involvement with the music ministry at Parish. She was on the board of the Parish Office Council committee for 3 years. Her family has been her backbone to help carry on the various activities helping her to juggle life as a mother, wife, office work and volunteer.
     Since joining the league Ann has been involved and held executive positions, such as;
Parish Council Level: Historian, President, Organization & Communication Standing Committee Chair
Peel Regional Council Level: Community & Christian Family Life Standing Committee Chair 2009 - 2010 Toronto Diocesan Council Level: Has served as Newsletter Editor 2010 - 2011 and Communication Standing Chair 2011 - 2013. Peel Regional Chair 2013 - 2015, President Elect 2015-2017.
     Additionally, Ann looked after Registration for the 2009 Toronto Diocesan Convention; Since 2010 she joined the team of facilitators that leads the annual Public Speaking & Leadership Course & Executive Trainer in Peel Region. She was also the part of the organizing committee for the 2011 National Convention which was held in Toronto. Convention Chair for the Toronto Diocese Council in 2013 and sub-convener in 2012.
     Ann also volunteers her time for charities and fundraising. For the last 14 years at Christmas she puts up a 7ft “giving tree” at her office and the money raised is divided between three charities she is involved with.
     The CWL has provided her with the wonderful opportunity to meet women and men who have in many ways influenced her personal and spiritual life.
